Friday June 1st

¡Por fin, llega Junio! 1. Copy notes on writing. 2. Carefully look over your writing that I return to you. What type of errors do you commonly make? 3. Write about the following task: Your pen pal from Chile has asked you what you do during your weekends. In Spanish, write a letter to your friend in Chile telling him or her about what you did last weekend. In your letter you may want to mention: • several activities  • a description of each activity  • who was with you  • when the activity took place  • whether you enjoy the activity  • chores you must do  • routine events at home  • why you do one or more of the activities Your answer should be written entirely in  Spanish and should contain a minimum of 100 words. Place names and brand names written in Spanish count as one word. Contractions are also counted as one word. Thursday May 31th

1. Pass forward your writing assignment. 2. Clear your desks for the quiz on the subjunctive mood and chapter 9. 3. After the quiz pick up a Final Exam Reading practice. Do not write on the Reading; record your answers on scrap paper, we will transfer them to the Senteo remotes later. 4. For homework complete the subjunctive practice worksheet.

Wednesday May 30th

1. Clear your desks at the bell for the Listening Comprehension Quiz. 2. After the quiz: In Spanish, write a 110 word story about the situation shown in the picture. It must be a story relating to the picture, not a description of the picture. Do not write a dialogue.Vary vocabulary and tenses. Be sure to organize your response and to include a beginning, middle, and ending. The sentence structure and/or expressions used should be connected logically and should demonstrate a wide range of vocabulary with minimal repetition. Use the subjunctive at least once. 3. Finish the writing for homework and study for tomorrow's quiz on the subjunctive mood and chapter 9. 4. Bring in $3 for the Paella Cooking Party next Monday and Tuesday!

Tuesday May 29th

1. Please review the Tense Recognition worksheet, we will complete the quiz we started on Friday using the Senteo Remotes shortly after the bell. Be prepared with any questions prior to the quiz. 2. Check your answers to the Green Subjunctive worksheet. Look through your notes to review incorrect answers. 3. Review the Lectura Cultural in the textbook on page 401 about the Mexican fashion designer, Macario. 4. Tomorrow (Wednesday) there will be a Listening Comprehension quiz identical to the final exam format. You can not study anything in particular for this. 5. There will be a quiz Thursday on fashion vocabulary, the two readings for chapter 9 and sequence of tenses in the subjunctive. 6. Bring in $3 for the Paella Cooking Party next Monday and Tuesday!

1. Copy the vocabulary on page 367 of the textbook. Look up the meaning of the words on page 375. 2. Write a 50 word response in Spanish to Pedro. Use the subjuctive at leat two times. Vary your vocabulary! ¡Holá! , Pienso que soy un típico de la población americana. En general no me gusta cocinar y es por eso que me gusta la comida rápida . Normalmente como cuatro hamburguesas a la semana y obviamente consumo grandes cantidades de bebidas gaseosas. Sin embargo cuando visito a mi hermana como muchas vitaminas y proteínas. Naturalmente  insiste que coma un poco de carne y por lo menos un poco de verdura. No se permite beber coca cola. Pone una botella de agua mineral sobre la mesa. En cuestión de dulces tengo que decir que casi nunca como pasteles o caramelos. ¿ Qué piensas de mi dieta? -Pedro
